ASA is dedicated to helping these children and their families achieve a better quality of life. The organization works to reunite children who have been separated from their families, sends them back to school, and ensures they have health insurance every year.
ASA celebrates the success of its mission, noting that “some of the children it has supported have reached university,” according to the Executive Director, Evangelist Mulisa Adventine.
Each year, ASA organizes holiday celebrations for the children it supports, bringing them joy and providing them with the opportunity to enjoy the holidays when they otherwise might have nowhere to go. Beyond the festivities, ASA also provides essentials such as food, haircuts, hygiene products, and more.
The organization takes the time to engage with the children, understanding why they ended up on the streets and working to reconnect them with their families. Mulisa shared, “We give the children haircuts once or twice a month, provide soap, and sit down with them to understand their stories. Most of the time, we succeed in reconnecting them with their families, and some even return home.”
Evangelist Mulisa Adventine also mentioned that she supports the children by enrolling them in school and monitoring their academic progress. She is proud to see that some of the children have reached university, while others are pursuing vocational studies.
